Here is the ash pile still smoking the evening AFTER they stopped adding to the pile.

The flames from this pile were visible over the trees at my house ~1/5 of a mile away. It was so loud it sounded like I was standing next to a camp fire at my back door. Note the lawn chair for scale. The fire department said there was nothing they could do because the burn ban had been lifted.
