Name: | Cedar Park Toll Road |
Comments: | This was supposed to be a bypass to take some traffic off of 183 and pull the people trying to get around the parking lot 183 turns into during rush hour back out of the neighborhoods, but instead Cedar Park reduced to speed to 40 mph at the start where there is absolutely nothing and the reduces it to 35 with a sign hidden behind a tree! As you can probably imagine this the most heavily patrolled road in Cedar Park. Note the speed raises to 45 once you pass into Austin even though the visibility goes down, sidewalks disappear and there are many more entrances onto the road. A speed limit of 50 would by more in line with similar built roads in this area. 2002/7 update: They have raised the 35 mph zone to 40. I guess common sense does prevail sometimes. |
